Dr. Gudrun-Christine Schimpf is a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Social Investment (CSI) within the Max-Weber Institute of Sociology at Heidelberg University. She holds a Dr. phil. from Heidelberg University and a Master’s in History and Political Science, with a focus on cultural history and gender studies during her studies at the University of Kentucky. Her research focuses on social innovations, urbanization history, foundations, civic engagement, and gender studies. She has contributed to projects like ITISS (SNF/DFG), WiWiSoGe, and FASI (BMBF), among others.
Her work spans interdisciplinary collaboration, historical analysis of social policies, and policy-oriented research on social innovation impacts.
