Guannan Gong

Dr. Guannan Gong is an Associate Research Scientist at Yale School of Medicine's Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology. He holds a PhD in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from Yale University and an MS in Computer Science from Columbia University. Gong develops computational approaches for analyzing clinical datasets to improve patient risk stratification and healthcare outcomes.

His research leverages machine learning and data science techniques to extract insights from electronic health records, particularly in infectious disease epidemiology and oncology. Recent work has focused on COVID-19 patient characteristics and predictive modeling.
