Guangyu Ren

Dr. Guangyu Ren serves as a Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at University College London (UCL), working under Dr. Youngjun Cho within the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI) and UCL Interaction Centre (UCLIC). His current research focuses on two interdisciplinary EPSRC-funded projects for the Circular Textiles Economy, developing novel deep learning and computer vision technologies to enhance consumer interaction and inclusive experiences through human-centered design.

His educational background includes:

• PhD from Imperial College London supervised by Dr. Tania Stathaki, investigating deep learning applications for salient object detection and segmentation across diverse scenarios.
