Dr. Guangjun Liu is a Professor and SOTI Research Chair in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University. He has been affiliated with the university since 1999 and specializes in robotics, control systems, and aerospace systems with applications in drones/UAVs, surgical robotics, and elderly assistance technologies.

- PhD from University of Toronto (1996)
His research focuses on developing modular/reconfigurable robots, precision control algorithms, and harmonic drive transmission systems. He has contributed to space robotics through the Kapvik Robotic Mast and conducted applied research in mechatronics and robotic joint torque estimation.
