Gro Marte Strand is an Associate Professor of Pedagogy at the Department of Teacher Education, Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences, NTNU. She holds a master’s in counseling science and a PhD (2020) focusing on transitions in education. Her research emphasizes educational transitions (especially from early childhood to secondary education), school development, inclusion, and school-home collaboration using cultural-historical activity theory. She leads the Transitions in Childhood and Education research group and collaborates in projects like the Janus Model (kindergarten-school collaboration) and the longitudinal RLT study tracking 2,000 students from 7th grade to high school graduation. She is involved in the LEADdig project (2023–) on digital competence for teachers.
