Gro Gardå

Gro Gardå is a PhD candidate and affiliated researcher at the Department of Pedagogy, University of Agder. Her work bridges Nordic educational didactics with empirical classroom studies.

Research Focus: Gro investigates how community is constructed in teaching environments through linguistic interaction, discourse analysis, and conversation dynamics. Her dissertation explores the management of diverse meanings in plenary classroom discussions.

Teaching and Experience: She has taught at multiple institutions, including the Teacher Education for Bilingual Teachers program and NORSEC courses, while previously working as an artist and educator in aesthetic teaching forms internationally. Her background includes formal ballet training at the Ballett Akademien in Gothenburg and a Master’s degree in Pedagogy from UiA.

Publications: Gro contributed to the 2023 article Stop the downsizing in schools, addressing institutional challenges in education through critical pedagogical lenses.
