Dr Grigorios Vasilopoulos is a Lecturer in Geospatial and Earth Observation at the University of Hull, affiliated with the Data Science AI and Modelling Centre (DAIM) within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. His research focuses on Earth surface processes, particularly rivers, deltas, and estuaries under anthropogenic and climatic pressures.

Recent work highlights include studies on PFAS detection in Philippine rivers, compound flooding in UK estuaries, and sediment dynamics in the Mekong Delta. He supervises PhD students in geomorphology and climate change-related topics.
