Gretchen L. Post

Gretchen L. Post serves as an Associate Professor in the Physician Assistant program within the College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University's Glendale campus. With extensive clinical experience in family practice, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and orthopedics, she brings practical insights to her academic role.

Dr. Post's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Ball State University (1998) and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University (2003). She joined Midwestern University full-time in June 2018 as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator, later advancing to Associate Professor.

Her research focuses on promoting professionalism, wellness, and resilience in healthcare students and licensed professionals. Dr. Post is deeply engaged in both didactic and clinical education phases, finding small group instruction particularly impactful for student learning. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes meeting individual student needs through engagement, feedback, and reflection.

Dr. Post has published research in medical education, with recent publications examining oral health education for multidisciplinary students and orthopedic recognition systems, demonstrating her commitment to innovative educational approaches in healthcare training.
