Dr. Gretchen Domek is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and serves as the Frankenburg Distinguished Professor in Developmental Pediatrics. She is a general pediatrician and director of the International Adoption Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Her research focuses on early childhood development in resource-limited settings, with fieldwork conducted in southwest Guatemala and rural China. Dr. Domek also developed the PUPPETalk™ intervention to enhance parent-infant interactions through finger puppets.

Research Interests: Dr. Domek studies early childhood development, designing community-based health programs and clinical interventions to improve developmental outcomes in low-resource environments.

Dr. Domek completed a pediatric residency and a global health fellowship at the University of Colorado. She has been an adjunct faculty member at the Korbel School since 2018.
