Gregory Solomons serves as an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins, teaching within the MRes Art: Art Theory and Philosophy program. Concurrently, he is pursuing an AHRC-funded practice-based PhD at the University of Manchester titled 'Drawing from Experience: Experimental Graphic Practice in the Light of the Surrealist Image'.
His research investigates intersections of experimental artistic, philosophical, and political notions of the image, with concentrated focus on historical avant-garde movements and surrealism. Core interests include Art Theory, Philosophy of Art, Surrealist imagery, Avant-garde traditions, Graphic Practice methodologies, and Experimental Art frameworks.
Solomons' current doctoral work, supported by an Arts and Humanities Research Council studentship, synthesizes graphic art creation with theoretical analysis of surrealist visual language.
