Gregory Korshin

Dr. Gregory Korshin is a Professor at the University of Washington whose research focuses on critical areas of environmental engineering and water chemistry. His work spans corrosion and metal release in drinking water, environmental electrochemistry, advanced oxidation processes, and the degradation of pharmaceuticals in wastewater. He has pioneered methods to quantify trace organic contaminants and developed innovative approaches to monitor drinking water quality in real-time.

His research also explores the environmental chemistry of radionuclides and reactions of natural organic matter with halogens. With nearly 100 publications in top-tier journals such as Water Research and Environmental Science & Technology, Dr. Korshin has secured significant funding from organizations including the Water Research Foundation, National Science Foundation, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
