Dr. Gregory B. Carlson is a Professor in the Department of Communication Studies and Theatre Art at Concordia College, where he directs the Film Studies Program and advises the department’s media activities: the weekly television show Concordia On-Air and KORD radio station. He also contributes as a journalist and film editor for the High Plains Reader, producing features, interviews, and film criticism.

Carlson’s research and professional work focus on film and media production, documentary storytelling, and cinema history.
