Gregor Walter-Drop

Gregor Walter-Drop is an Assistant Professor at Freie Universität Berlin and serves as Managing Director of the Collaborative Research Center 700 'Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood' (since 2010) and Director of the Center for Area Studies (since 2014). He holds Master's degrees from the State University of New York and Tübingen University, and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Bremen. His academic career includes foundational work in developing the curriculum of the Hertie School during its startup phase.

Research & Teaching: Specializes in International Relations, focusing on globalization, governance challenges in regions with limited statehood, and foreign policy analysis. Teaches the graduate course 'Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood'.
