Greg Herman is an Associate Professor at the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, University of Arkansas. He holds a B.Arch from the University of Cincinnati and an M.Arch from Rice University, where he received the William Dunlap Darden Medal. His teaching excellence is recognized through three Mott Outstanding Teacher Awards and the Tau Sigma Delta Medal. He is a Fellow in the University of Arkansas Teaching Academy.

His research focuses on the historical development of American builders' handbooks and their impact on architectural technologies, materials, and techniques. Herman co-led design/build projects like the restoration of 'Miss Gloria’s Kitchen' in New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina. He has also served as visiting faculty at Auburn University and an invited juror at Harvard, RISD, and UNM.
