About
Greg Grason is Professor in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He holds a B.A. in Physics from University of Pennsylvania (2000) and Ph.D. in Physics from University of Pennsylvania (2005).
His research explores geometrically frustrated assembly in soft matter using theoretical frameworks from condensed matter physics and differential geometry. Current projects examine self-limited assembly states, programmable nanotube construction, and mechanical metamaterials.
Honors include NSF CAREER Award, Sloan Research Fellowship, and APS Fellowship. He leads research on filamentous matter organization, block copolymer morphologies, and curvature-controlled membrane assemblies.
