Greg C. Wright is an Associate Professor and former Department Chair of Economics at the University of California, Merced, affiliated with the School of Social Sciences, Humanities & Arts. He also serves as a Non-Resident Fellow at the Brookings Institution and a Research Affiliate at CESifo. With a PhD in Economics from UC Davis (2011), he previously held positions at the University of Essex and contributed to the Volkswagen Foundation's Global Linkages project.
His research focuses on labor market consequences of globalization, immigration, and technological change, with notable work on offshoring's impact and ICT's role in wage inequality. Key publications include studies in the American Economic Review, Journal of International Economics, and Journal of the European Economic Association.
