Greenfield Haskel

Greenfield Haskel is a Professor of Anthropology at the University of Manitoba, where he has worked since 1989. He also holds an adjunct position at Macquarie University (2021-present). As a zoarchaeologist, his work focuses on the evolution of early human societies, metallurgy, and domestication. He co-founded the Near Eastern and Biblical Archaeology Lab and coordinates the Judaic Studies Program.

His research spans the Old World, covering Europe, the Near East, and Africa. Key contributions include understanding:
