Grayson Bartels

Grayson Bartels serves as an Ordinary Tutor for Criminology and Sociology courses at the University of Edinburgh's School of Law while completing his fourth-year PhD in Law (Criminology pathway). His academic work focuses on prison transitions, drug harm reduction, and digital victimization through intersectional feminist frameworks.

Bartels' research interests span Criminology, Penology, Drug Use, Harm Reduction, Law, Feminism, Intersectionality, Social Justice, Abolition, and Queer Theory. His thesis explores post-incarceration transitions with emphasis on autonomy in recovery from substance use, centering lived experiences through fourth-wave feminist lenses.
