Gray Whaley

Dr. Gray H. Whaley is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of History at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he has served since 2006. He earned his PhD in History from the University of Oregon in 2002.

His research focuses on:

• Environmental history intersections
• Legal and judicial developments in Native communities
