Graham Room

Graham Room is Professor of European Social Policy at the University of Bath, specializing in complexity theory applications to social policy. Former Director of the Institute for Policy Research, he founded the Journal of European Social Policy and was elected Fellow of the UK Academy of Social Sciences.

His research examines how complexity science informs policy-making in turbulent environments. Recent works analyze agile decision-making frameworks and the dynamics of social exclusion. Room has led major European research programs including the EU Observatory on National Policies to Combat Social Exclusion.
