About
Graham Lister is an artist based in Glasgow, Scotland, and currently teaches at The Glasgow School of Art. His practice focuses on the deconstruction of physical forms through painting, emphasizing structured and intuitive abstraction processes, slow looking, and the distillation of gestures.
His research explores the dynamics of studio practices, including periods of productivity and uncertainty, and investigates how artists engage with making, exhibiting, and reworking. Recent solo exhibitions span Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Berlin, with group shows in New York, London, Seoul, and Beijing. He supervises practice-based PhD projects centered on painting or studio processes.
