Dr. Graham Howard is a Lecturer in Practical Language at the English Department of Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, where he has taught since 2009. His research focuses on Mediation, Adaptation, Intermediality, TESOL, and Teaching Methodologies. He holds a PhD in English Philology (Cultural and Media Studies) from Kiel University (2021) and a B. Mus. (Hons) from the University of Sydney (1997).
Research Interests:
- Interdisciplinary analysis of Text-types and Media in educational contexts.
- Integration of Digital Education in language learning and policy.
- Adaptation of Shakespearean works across media.
Publications include studies on digitalization in language courses, intermedial adaptations, and creative works like the screenplay Gruoch and Macbeth (2024) and the novel Confusion of the Blind (2020). His scientific awards include two Sydney Symphony Orchestra School Composer’s Awards (1990, 1991).
