Govind Revathi

Revathi Govind is a Professor in the Division of Biology at Kansas State University, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. Their research focuses on understanding molecular mechanisms of Clostridioides difficile pathogenesis, including toxin regulation, sporulation, and metabolic pathways influencing virulence. Govind holds a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University in Microbiology and Immunology (2006). Key research areas include regulatory networks linking toxin production and sporulation, glycogen metabolism's role in resilience, and carbohydrate utilization in pathogenesis. They have secured NIH grants (R01, R21) and published extensively in Anaerobe, mSphere, and Molecular Microbiology. Current projects explore sin locus regulation, c-di-GMP signaling, and CodY variants' impact on virulence. Advising graduate students and mentoring postdocs, Govind contributes to interdisciplinary initiatives in microbial pathogenesis.
