Professor Gos Micklem is a faculty member at the Department of Genetics and Department of Applied Mathematics & Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge. He leads the Micklem Group at the Cambridge Centre for Data-Driven Discovery and holds a Visiting Professor position at the Database Center for Life Science (DBCLS), Japan.
Research Interests span bioinformatics, genomics, synthetic biology, and machine learning. His group develops open-source tools like InterMine for biological data integration, HumanMine for human genomics, and FlyMine for Drosophila research. They also explore large-scale data integration and machine learning applications in biology.
