Gordon Russell

Gordon Russell is the Associate Dean, Professor of Law, and Director of the School of Law Library at Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law. He holds a B.A. and M.L.S. from Brigham Young University, LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario, J.D. from the University of New Mexico, and an M.B.A. from Lincoln Memorial University. His expertise spans legal research methodology, legal education innovation, and technology integration in law schools. Russell previously served as Founding Associate Dean for Library and Information Technology at Charleston School of Law and taught in the International Off-Shore Tax LL.M. program. He is actively involved in ABA accreditation processes, contributing to committees like the ABA Legal Education Facilities Committee and the AALL Academic Law Libraries SIS CALI committee. His leadership roles include organizing the ABA Bricks and Bytes Conferences in 2010 and 2012.

His teaching focuses on legal research and writing, negotiation, and counseling, reflecting his commitment to foundational legal skills. Russell’s professional contributions include site evaluations for law school accreditations and advocacy for modern legal education infrastructure.
