Gondy Leroy

Gondy Leroy is a Professor of MIS and Associate Dean for Research at the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management. She leads the Center for Management Innovations in Healthcare and the Deep Target NLP Research Group, focusing on natural language processing and machine learning applications.

Education:

• BS/MS in Experimental Psychology (1996), University of Leuven, Belgium

Research Interests: Includes text simplification algorithms, automated behavioral annotation in EHRs for ASD diagnosis, and informatics design. Her work spans human-computer interaction, healthcare information systems, and consumer data understanding.

Grants & Contributions: Has secured $5.7M as principal investigator from NIH, AHRQ, NSF, Microsoft Research, and foundations. Authored "Designing User Studies in Informatics" (Springer, 2011) and founded the Tomorrow’s Leaders Equipped for Diversity program.
