Glenn 'Boomer' Trujillo is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Louisville. His research applies ancient Greek philosophy to contemporary ethical problems, with focus areas in Cynic philosophy, virtue ethics, playfulness, and theories of friendship. He works to diversify philosophy curricula and connect underserved students with academic support resources.
Research explores the virtue of playfulness as essential to human flourishing, Cynic critiques of wealth and social norms, Aristotelian friendship ethics, and philosophical examinations of race. Recent work includes the book The Virtue of Playfulness: Why Happy People Are Playful (Routledge, 2024).
