Dr. Glen Goodman is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Brazilian Studies at Arizona State University's School of International Letters and Cultures (SILC), and Interim Executive Director of ASU's International Development Initiative (IDI). He holds affiliate roles in the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies. His research focuses on German migration and ethnicity in Brazil, with publications in German History, The Americas, and Global Food History. Goodman teaches courses on Brazilian and Latin American culture and history, and coordinates research funding opportunities for SILC faculty.

Publications & Awards: Over 10 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Notable awards include the Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar Award (2017), DAAD Research Stay (2017), and Arnold O. Beckman Research Award ($18,000, 2015). His work has been funded by Fulbright-Hays, DAAD, and the Campus Research Board.
Grants & Teams: Leads the IDI team in leveraging ASU expertise for development projects in Latin America. Previously secured grants from DAAD and Fulbright for research in Brazil and Germany. Teaches interdisciplinary courses on Brazilian culture and supervises special projects through ASU’s Special Topics programs.
