Dr. Giulia Getti is an Associate Professor in Microbiology at the University of Greenwich, serving as Director (Academic) of BioMed Online learning and Head of the Tissue Culture and Parasitology Laboratory. She holds a PhD in infectious diseases from the University of Perugia, Italy, and has held roles at the University of East London and the University of Greenwich since 2008.
Her research focuses on microbiology, parasitology, and drug delivery systems, with a particular emphasis on Leishmania species, antimicrobial agents, and innovative biomedical materials. She leads a lab dedicated to advancing tissue culture and parasitology research, supporting interdisciplinary projects across the Faculty of Engineering and Science.
