Giulia Gerbi is a Research Fellow at the Department of Humanities, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She earned her BA (2015) and MA (2017, cum laude) in Classical Philology at the University of Torino, followed by a PhD in Ancient Sciences (2021) from Ca' Foscari in cotutelle with Sorbonne Université. Her work focuses on Byzantine literature, Atticist lexicography, and rhetorical exercises, particularly in the Progymnasmata tradition. She has contributed extensively to the Digital Encyclopedia of Atticism, analyzing ancient Greek vocabulary, grammar, and stylistic debates.
