Giovanni Cardillo

Giovanni Cardillo is a Senior Assistant Professor (fixed-term) at the Department of Management, University of Bologna, and a Research Economist at the Yunus Social Business Centre of Bologna. He also serves as a Part-Time Lecturer in Finance at the Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University). His research spans Banking, Finance, Systemic Risk, Corporate Governance, Sustainable Finance, Monetary Policy, and Financial Markets.

Research and Collaborations: Giovanni’s work evaluates the impact of government monitoring, monetary policy, and corporate governance on banks, with a focus on systemic risk and sustainable finance. He has collaborated with institutions including Aston University, University of Nottingham, University of Amsterdam, and Harvard University’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs.

Other Roles: He co-founded South Guys Ltd. (supported by the European Commission) and serves as a scientific consultant for ABIFormazione.
