Dr. Giorgio Ganis is an Associate Professor in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Plymouth. With a PhD from UC San Diego and postdoctoral experience at Harvard, his research examines the interaction between perception and cognition using neuroimaging and brain stimulation techniques.
His pioneering work includes ERP studies on contextual object recognition and foundational fMRI research on visual imagination and deception. He investigates the neurocognitive basis of social cognition and develops neurotechnological applications.
