Giorgio Bolego

Giorgio Bolego is a Full Professor of Labour Law at the University of Trento, affiliated with both the Faculty of Law and the Department of Legal Sciences. He holds a Law degree from the University of Trento (1993) and a PhD in Community and Comparative Labour Law from the University of Ferrara (1998). His academic career includes roles as a researcher, associate professor, and now full professor. He teaches courses such as Labour Law, Labour Economics, and Public Administration Labour Practices at the Department of Economics & Management and the Faculty of Law.

Bolego's research focuses on working hours regulation, partial-time employment, privatization impacts on labour relations, collective bargaining in public/private sectors, workplace discrimination, and cooperative worker-member legal frameworks. He has participated in major research initiatives including studies on decentralization of labour policies, worker protection mechanisms, and multicultural diversity in workplace law.

He serves as coordinator of the Master’s program in Legal Professions at the Universities of Trento and Verona, and chairs the Trento Provincial Agency for Negotiation Representation (APRaN). His institutional roles include overseeing internships for master’s students and coordinating the Labour Law section of the Legal Professions School. He collaborates with prominent organizations like the Scuola Superiore della Pubblica Amministrazione, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the Trentino Federation of Cooperatives.

Bolego has delivered over 30 lectures and conference presentations across Italy and Europe on topics such as flexible working arrangements, legal protections against workplace discrimination, and the legal framework of public-sector labour relations. He actively contributes to legal journals specializing in labour law and socio-legal studies.
