Dr. Ginger Yu is a Teaching Professor and Associate Director of Graduate Programs in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University. She holds B.S. (1991), M.S. (1993), and Ph.D. (1997) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Her research focuses on physical electronics, photonics, and magnetics, with particular expertise in semiconductor processing, nanofabrication techniques, and materials characterization. Early research investigated ion damage effects in GaAs and InP semiconductor materials using various etching and surface treatment techniques.
