Gina Mancini-Samuelson is a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at St. Catherine University, holding a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. Her research examines graphene oxide nanomaterials using spectroscopic and electrochemical methods, with work supported by a National Science Foundation sabbatical grant through the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network.
She received the 2008 Teaching Excellence Award and 2012 Materials Research Society best paper award for interdisciplinary curriculum development. Dr. Mancini-Samuelson has directed over 20 undergraduate research projects and developed innovative courses including a nanotechnology-themed capstone for education majors. She has held departmental and university leadership roles including Chemistry Department Chair (2005-2011) and STEM Integration co-chair.
