Gina Macaluso is an Assistant Professor and Manager of the Knowledge River program at the University of Arizona's College of Information Science. Since 2013, she has led this initiative focusing on training librarians and information specialists to serve Latino and Native American communities. With over 27 years of public library experience, she has held roles in adult, children’s, and young adult services, as well as branch management and administration.

Her research and professional focus emphasizes culturally responsive library practices, youth engagement, and addressing information needs of marginalized populations. She actively contributes to national and state-level library advocacy through organizational leadership roles.
