
About
Gina Jae is a Term Assistant Professor in the Anthropology Department at Barnard College. Her research focuses on the biopolitics of science and medicine, the role of affect and care in scientific knowledge and clinical practice, and the implications of new technologies in stratified social systems. She also explores the use of oral histories in ethnographic research. Her clinical background includes training in internal medicine and pediatrics.
Dr. Jae teaches courses in Medical Anthropology and advises students in the major. She holds office hours on Mondays (2:00pm–3:00pm) and Fridays (1:30pm–2:30pm), and can be reached via email at gjae@barnard.edu or via Calendly.
