Gina Absalom

Gina Absalom is a Lecturer in Nutrition at Charles Darwin University's Faculty of Health. An accredited practising dietitian, she holds a Bachelor of Food and Nutrition Sciences (Honours), Graduate Certificate in Public Health, and Master of Dietetics. Her research employs participatory methods like action research and systems thinking to address chronic disease prevention, health equity, and policy impacts on community health.

Absalom's current projects include investigating food insecurity among university students and developing sustainable food policies. Her published research focuses on dietetic care models for gestational diabetes management and maternal-neonatal health outcomes.
