Gillian MacNeil

Gillian MacNeil is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Manitoba. She holds advanced legal degrees from Dalhousie University (LLB), University of Ottawa (LLL), University of Cambridge (LLM), and Queen’s University (PhD).

• Research Focus: International criminal law, transnational criminal law, comparative law, constitutional law, and domestic implementation of international law
• Teaching Areas: Constitutional Law, Legal Profession and Professional Responsibility

Her career includes clerkships at the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Publications span books, peer-reviewed articles, and book reviews analyzing international legal frameworks and human rights law.
