Dr. Giliane Joseph is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine (General Internal Medicine) and Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She serves as Assistant Medical Director of the Comprehensive Health Care Center and has held leadership positions including Associate Program Director for the Primary Care and Social Internal Medicine Program. She received her medical degree from Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine and completed residency at Montefiore Medical Center followed by a fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center-AECOM.
Her clinical expertise spans primary/preventative care and specialized care for patients with HIV and Hepatitis C. Her research focuses on risk communication in healthcare and lifestyle medicine, and she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She is currently pursuing health coach certification through WellCoaches.
Dr. Joseph maintains active involvement with the Hastings Center Advisory Committee, Callen-Lorde Community Health Center Clinical Care Committee, and Radical Health initiative. She collaborates with the School of Visual Arts Design for Social Innovation Program to integrate design thinking methodologies into healthcare innovation and education.
