Gigi McGee serves as Professor of Graphic Design and Chair of Communication Arts at Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia, bringing over 30 years of dual expertise as both a design professional and educator across Philadelphia and Los Angeles institutions.
Her academic foundation stems from the University of the Arts (Philadelphia), and her professional trajectory includes significant roles at Seiniger Advertising (entertainment graphics), The Office of Richard Saul Wurman (information graphics), and Sussman/Prejza (environmental graphics), culminating in her independent studio established in 1989. Her research and teaching interests span Graphic Design, Communication Design, Information Graphics, and Environmental Graphics, directly informed by decades of industry practice.
McGee demonstrates exceptional commitment to design education through her decade-long service on AIGA Philadelphia's Executive Board, where she currently acts as Legacy Director. She co-founded the AIGA Philadelphia Scholarship Fund and previously served as Co-Director of Education, spearheading initiatives including the Feedback Mentorship Program, student competitions (Design for Good 2015, BYOB 2010, Campaign2Sustain 2008), and community projects like This is my Philly.
