Gideon Spanjar

Gideon Spanjar is a Professor of Innovation and Urban Green Spaces at Aeres University of Applied Sciences and holds a senior role as a researcher and project leader at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences’ Faculty of Technology. He leads initiatives like the Sensing Streetscapes project and the EU-funded Cool Towns, focusing on urban transformation, climate resilience, and nature-based solutions. His work bridges urban design, environmental science, and human well-being through projects such as Building4Wellbeing and Biodiverse Cities.
