Gideon Basson is a Research Fellow at the Department of Public Law, Stellenbosch University, and a DPhil candidate in Law at the University of Oxford, supervised by Professor Shreya Atrey. His current research focuses on 'fortune' as a prohibited ground of discrimination under the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights.
