Ghislain Thibault is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at Université de Montréal, specializing in media history, media archaeology, and the history of media theories. He holds a PhD from Université de Montréal (2010) and completed postdoctoral studies at Harvard’s Department of the History of Science. His research focuses on wireless technologies, media materialities, and aerial advertising history, funded by SSHRC (2021–2025). He directs the Look Up! A Media History of Aerial Communication project.
