Dr. Gherardo Girardi is an Associate Professor and Postgraduate Research (PGR) Co-Lead at St Mary's University. He holds a PhD(Econ), MSc(Econ), BSc(Econ) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and an MA in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (Distinction) from London Metropolitan University. His career includes roles at LSE, London Business School, King's College London, and others, alongside prior work as an equity derivatives analyst at Schroders.
His research spans industrial economics, labor economics, climate change attitudes, international business strategy, higher education pedagogy, and theology/spirituality. He leads St Mary's Research Cluster in Business Ethics and promotes Catholic social thought in business education. He is a Fellow of the Economics Network (formerly Higher Education Academy).
