Ghazala Azmat

Ghazala Azmat is Professor of Economics at Sciences Po in Paris, France, and a junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France. She holds research affiliations as Research Associate at CEP (LSE) and Research Fellow at CEPR, CESifo, and IZA. She directs the CEPR Organizational Economics Programme and serves on the Executive Committee and Council of the European Economic Association (EEA).

Her research focuses on organizational economics, education, labor markets, and gender inequality, examining human capital investment constraints, workplace dynamics, and educational policy impacts. Current work supported by an ERC Consolidator grant analyzes how individuals plan future educational investments under uncertainty.

Dr. Azmat's publications reveal consistent methodological rigor using natural experiments and policy evaluations, with recurring themes in gender disparities, educational technology efficacy, and labor market outcomes. Her work bridges theoretical economics with real-world policy applications across European contexts.
