Ghadir Haikal

Ghadir Haikal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Purdue University’s College of Engineering. She joined the faculty in 2009 after completing her PhD in civil engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where she also served as a graduate research assistant.

  • Master’s and PhD in Civil Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Her research focuses on computational mechanics, with specialized expertise in nonlinear finite element methods, material modeling, structural analysis, and nonlinear dynamics. Recent work includes modeling contact interfaces in complex engineering systems.
