Gesche Ripken

Gesche Ripken is a member of the DFG Research Training Group 'Dynamic Integration Order' at Humboldt University Berlin since June 2023. Her research focuses on the intersection of competition law, digital economy regulation, and law and economics.

• Education: LL.B. from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (2017), First State Law Examination (2018), LL.M. in Law and Economics (EMLE program) with studies in Haifa, Ghent, and Aix-en-Provence (2020), and Second State Law Examination completed in March 2023.

Research Interests: (European) competition law, regulatory law, digital economy law, and law and economics. Her LL.M. thesis analyzed the economic analysis of competition on platforms, and her current dissertation explores the future of the More Economic Approach in Article 102 TFEU enforcement.
