Gert Meyers

Dr. Gert Meyers is an Assistant Professor at Tilburg Law School (TLS) and affiliated with the Tilburg Institute of Law, Technology & Society (TILT) and the Academic Collaborative Center for Digital Health & Mental Wellbeing. He contributes to the Regulating Socio-Technical Change research group.

• Research Focus: Digital technology's reconfiguration of roles in societal institutions (health, insurance), blockchain in governance, trust in datafied systems, and ethical implications of AI in psychiatry.
• Collaborative Projects: CHAIN (2020–2024), AI Deployment Journey in Healthcare (2024–2028), and Bereikbare arts, ontoegankelijke zorg (2025–2027).
• Teaching: Courses on Society in the Digital Age and Data Ethics and Entrepreneurship.

His recent publications analyze epistemic injustice in mental health apps, blockchain development in government, and tensions between care and control in data-driven insurance. He received the CHAIN Science Communication Award (KNAW, 2021) and organizes interdisciplinary events like EASST-4S 2024.
