Gert Jacobusse

Gert Jacobusse, PhD, is a lecturer-researcher in the Department of Data Science at HZ University of Applied Sciences. His work focuses on Predictive Analytics, leveraging historical data to uncover variable relationships for process understanding and target prediction. He applies statistical methods to biological and ecological challenges, including potato genetics, shellfish growth modeling, and biodiversity mapping via citizen science data.

Trained in Psychometrics at Leiden University (1999-2003), Gert has extensive interdisciplinary experience. He contributed to epidemiological research at TNO, designing statistical analyses and evaluating research methodologies. At the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI), he supported data-sharing initiatives between government agencies, advancing Intelligent Data Analysis applications.
